Experience - Clinical:

  • 1997 – Present: Consultant in Sports and Musculoskeletal Medicine, SM Sports Medicine, London Bridge Hospital - Emblem House, 27 Tooley Street, London SE1 2PR
  • Run my own sports medicine/musculoskeletal medicine practice. Six-seven sessions per week
  • Established a peripheral clinic at Rood Lane Medical Centre in 2001-2002, and at Prestige Health in 2002-2003. Also occasional clinics held at Cannons Health Club, Cousin Lane, London EC4R 3XJ
  • Regular teaching sessions held Monday afternoons for doctors on MSc Course in Sports & Exercise Medicine, Royal London Hospital. Ad hoc training for doctors on MSc Course in Sports & Exercise Medicine at UCL
  • Developing specific interests in shockwave therapy, electromagnetic and neurostimulation (scenar/Inter X) techniques for osteochondral injuries/chronic musculoskeletal pain
  • 1998 - April 2005: Medical Officer, Crystal Palace Sports Injury Centre Jubilee Stand, Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, London SE19 2BB
  • Completed a restrospective study of pulsed electromagnetic therapy (M:Moduliser). Dr Bhatti has submitted paper for publication
  • Fully accredited in Medical Acupuncture and currently use this in conjunction with other effective treatments for musculoskeletal problems.
  • Past Medical Officer for the British International Rowing Teams and British Olympic Medical Centre.

  • 1991 – Present: Honorary Lecturer/Tutor and External Examiner Department of Sports Medicine, The Royal London Hospital, London E1 2AD
  • Lecturer and Examiner for the diploma courses in Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy
  • Provide clinical training for doctors on the MSc course
  • Supervised a number of research projects carried out by physiotherapists and doctors; the most recent one involving electromagnetic therapy in 2004
